Shutter Island

So as a Friday night came near, Adam and I had to decide what to do for date night... This is a tough one for me as usually by friday night all I want to do is sit down. Or maybe lay down. And eat. But not cook. And especially not do the dishes. We finally checked out movies coming out soon to dvd and then headed to Rogers to pick up Shutter Island starring Leonardo DiCaprio. I had seen a bunch of previews for it before it hit theatres then I think it landed in them around my wedding planning months so never managed to get there to see it. As we sat down with Nathan and Kina I had expectations. They were not surpassed but not missed either. Acting was good. Ben Kingsley knows how to play "Guy You Don't Trust" and Mark Ruffalo does a good job of "Trusty Sidekick". I am not a scary movie fan and this movie had a good mix of creep out factor but not too many people jumping out of the shadows (although there are some). Ignore the loud over dramatic music in the beginning... it goes away a little into the movie. The ending is what kept it from being a great movie. Unless you're not really a movie watcher, the ending won't surprise. A good evening though and I'm glad I did not watch this movie by myself and popcorn and candy always helps.

New Life

Hey all who may attempt to read this post. I don't have a ton of time to write a huge update on my now life, but I thought I would acknowledge the fact that I do have now... a new life. Especially since my last post... which really, don't read it... lame sauce. Anyway, now am married, living in Calgary AB, managing a Fido store, and having some fun! I'll write some more interesting stuff later but just to let anyone who will ever read this, I will be focusing the blog on movies, music, and books etc... not so much about my life.
